CALL FOR 'INVITED AUTHOR' NOMINATIONS Global Pulse, the American Medical Student Association's worldwide student-run international health journal, believes students should have a voice in shaping our journal. We would like to give you the opportunity to nominate a leader in the field of global and international health whom you would like to hear from in our "Invited Author Feature. Thus, we are seeking nominations for professionals who have significantly contributed to international health. Selected nominee's will be contacted and invited to submit a written contribution to the journal and/or have an interview presented in this upcoming issue. We are asking YOU to help us identify whom we should contact and invite. Nominees should have contributed to the field of 'Global and International Health' through scholarship, field work, and/or activism. Ideal candidates will have made significant contributions to the field recently and will be accessible and able to submit an article within our timeline for publication. Nominees may be from outside the medical profession; in fact, we encourage nominee's involved in cross-disciplinary work. Past invited authors have included Dr. Joxel Garcia (13th Assistant Secretary for Health of the U.S.), Jim Kim (Partners in Health), Joia Mukherjee (PIH), Bill Foege (Bill and Melinda Gates & Unicef). Criteria for selecting an Invited Author will include accomplishments, contributions to the field, impact on the international community, importance to the field of health, and accessibility to the GP editors.
